Fairytale of New York.......

30 students from Staffordshire University have just returned from an amazing trip to New York. Amongst the highlights was a design conference featuring Milton Glaser, Chipp Kid, Paula Scher, and Bob Gill - highly entertaining and informative! The sun shone, burgers were eaten and there was even time for a bit of sightseeing & shopping.............Staffordshire style.

I remember when all of this was fields...........

The evolution of photoshop packaging....and the mouse.
Slightly interesting.

Jim Williams, Senior Lecturer in Graphic Design at Staffordshire University , has produced an excellent resource for students outlining the fundamentals of typography. (It is now available to purchase for all you type bods!!) Interest is growing over Jim's publication as far away as Apple Inc. in the US and considerable interest in Europe also. The importance of good typography is still as evident as it ever was. Jim can be contacted here: j.g.williams@staffs.ac.uk
